It's Alive (Lyrics & Music: Peter Saturday)
Times have been tough
but the best is yet to come (when I'm with you)
and though I don't know where you came from
I know I'll never forget that day
I first saw you standing in the rain
there was no time left for wondering
I've waited patiently for you to finally be mine
Suddenly I'm thinking about these things I thought I'd never
believing in you and I through whatever comes our way
and now I can tell you it's not the same
No I don't want these summer days to ever end
I'll spend them all with you
I've waited patiently for you to finally be mine
And no more feeling sad, no more bad summers on the way
no more looking back because we're moving on
and as I sit here thinking about you now I know it's true
we couldn't wait another day to be together
I've waited patiently for you to finally be mine
so happy to know you
so happy to know

Don't Run Away

Don't Run Away (Lyrics & Music: Jim Wadsworth / Peter Saturday)
Alone at half past ten on a Friday night
this routine has eaten up your life
your friends gave up, they don't call anymore
another night you're passed out on the floor
never feel like you belong when your words all come out wrong
and now you say you're leaving..
Don't run away from everything I know keeps you afraid
learn to believe (you're gonna make it) and everything will fall into it's place
You're wondering how you ended up like this
where did the good times go what have you missed
the book is closed as far as you're concerned
the past is gone, the pages have all turned
your dreams all fade away in a smokey haze of gray
and now you're barely breathing..
Chorus
just let it fall into it's place
just try and understand, you're not alone in this today
but it's up to you
don't underestimate yourself (you're not alone)
don't hesitate to face the day
but what can you do?
Chorus

A New Nostalgia

A New Nostalgia (Lyrics: Peter Saturday Music: Kevin Carl)
I've been sitting home alone again wondering what might have been
if things would be the same, no one can say we didn't try
I often think about it, our lives and what's become of us
things they didn't turn out quite the way we had it planned
But a new nostalgia yeah is coming back for you
tomorrow's yesterdays are right around the bend
Old dreams are fading fast, we tried our best to make them last
we're not giving up or giving in, no we just left them all behind
with no regrets I can't still help but wonder where I went wrong
I probably should have known all along how it would end
But a new nostalgia yeah is coming back for you
tomorrow's yesterdays are runnin' wild inside your head
Well I can't fake it anymore,
we always thought that our lives would be different
we never wanted the summers to really be over
but it's for real and it don't matter how I feel
those dreams they never, never came true
time keeps flying by but it didn't wait for you and me
chorus
but it's gonna be ok, I promise you
it's gonna be ok, (a new nostalgia) you it's true
I know it's true

Laid to Rest

Laid to Rest (Lyrics: Vega/Saturday Music: The Davis Baby/Dillard)
Well here we all are again, back out on the road
it feels like it's never ending
With all those stones left unturned, still feeling alone
it seems I've got a long way to go
Just to wait and see what was right there in front of me
and I didn't think you'd mind if I wasted away
my whole life, what would I have to leave behind for you?
Because after all we've said I thought we could have put it down
and laid it all to rest
That same old story, you know the one that you heard before
that ends with those bridges burning
Now don't you carry that weight, the weight of the world
Hold onto that page that's turning
chorus
It's all starting, to feel the same now, the shapes and forms, the voice is calling you home and this time you could be on your own
never looking back again
No it won't be the same now..
chorus
Because after all we've said, I thought we could've put it down and laid it all to rest
Because after all that's been said and done I thought we could have put it down and laid it all to rest

The Davis Baby Portland, Oregon
Ben Grim + G-Whiz = The Davis Baby. We recorded a 4 song EP of old school pop punk, the way we loved it back in the late 80's and early 90's. Back before pop punk was exploited by major labels & Mtv. Hopefully this recording will help bring back the sound we all loved so much! Physical release out soon in Japan on Waterslide Records! ... more
